Alex is Stunning in Carolina Herrera “Josefina”

Her bridesmaids were dressed in Dessy Social Collection, L’elite Bridesmaids Boston. We asked Alex why she chose Carolina Herrera, and her story is fascinating. I asked Alex why she chose Carolina Herrera and here is what she told me:
“Carolina has always been one of my favorite designers, with her classic, clean, and feminine designs. I also love the fact that she is Venezuelan because my mother is from Venezuela and my whole family on that side still lives in Caracas. My grandmother, Teresita Mayorca Valery, actually has a diamond watch from Carolina’s father, given to her at her quinceanera in 1956. When Carolina’s father was a Governor in Venezuela, he worked alongside Abuela’s father, Eduardo Mayorca, who was Mayor at the time. My grandmother was also friendly with Carolina’s sister. I grew up going to Venezuela twice a year and it has been an integral part of my identity and development. Having nearly 40 Venezuelan family members fly in to Cape Cod for the wedding weekend was the best wedding gift, especially given the political turmoil going on in the country. For these reasons, it was so special to be able to wear a wedding dress designed by Carolina, a Venezuelan.” – Alex Rodman
